RULES OF THE SCHOOL

  • The student are expected to manifest behavior befitting of Holy Cross School, who are serious and decent citizens at all times.
  • The first bell before class is a signal for all to go to the assembly. It is compulsory for each student to come for Assembly. After the Assembly they should go to their class room in discipline, get ready with their books. This should be done in silence. When teachers enter the class room, the students are to greet them in the customary way and give them proper attention and respect.
  • No student is entitled to enter the class unless she/he is clean, neatly dressed and in proper uniform.
  • No child is allowed to leave the school premises except on the strength of the letter of authorization from the parents.
  • No students are allowed to leave the school during the school hours or in recess without the permission of the Principal.
  • Students should only bring to school their text books. Other books or magazines if thought to be useful may be brought only with the approval of the Principal. No circulars or literature of any kind may be distributed within the school campus without the permission of the Principal.
  • Care must be taken for all school property and no boy/girl should scratch the desk or damage any school furniture. write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. even if damage comes by accident should be reported at once to the Vice Principal or Principal. Each class should be responsible for looking after their class property.
  • Do not bring valuable articles to the school. The school is students, but any loss should be reported to the Principal immediately.
  • Any student desiring to be exempted from P.T. or games must produce a doctor's certificate to the effect that she / he is physically unfit to take part.
  • Students may not offer presents to the staff except in those circumstances sanctioned by the Principal.
  • If any child is prescribed to take any kind of medicine during class hours the concerned parents are requested either to inform the school authorities or to send the prescription of the doctor.
  • Student who runs away from school for any reason will not be allowed to continue in this institution there after.
  • The School is not responsible for your ward out of school time.
  • A student absenting continuously for 7 days without any information will be considered, as left the school and his / her name will be struck off from the roll. The students absent without permission before/ after a vacation are liable for punishment.
  • The principal reserves the right to remove a student from the school or suspend him/her for a certain period if the conduct of the student, in Principal's opinion is against the good moral tone of the school.
  • All the fees must be paid in due time.
  • No transfer certificate (T.C.) will be issued until school dues are paid in full.
  • Fine may be imposed by the Principal for breaches in regularity.
  • No pupils will be promoted to the next class before the end of the school year.
  • All fees and dues for the term must be cleared in full, before the beginning of the examination. If not; the pupils will not be allowed to sit for the examination.
  • Students need 90% of attendance for promotion to next class.
  • Silence must be observed in the school premises during class hours.
  • Students are expected to bring their Tiffin & water bottle with them.
  • Students involved in fights, drugs, alcohol, smoking and stealing will incur automatic expulsion. Smoking and chewing of pan and gum by the students are strictly forbidden.
  • The pupils of Holy Cross School are expected to behave in a polite manner on all occasions. They should address their teachers and all members of the staff and their companion with courtesy. Refinement of manners, uprightness and self restraint should distinguish every pupil of the school. Calling nicknames and spreading rumors are strictly forbidden.
  • Pupils are forbidden to bring crackers, camera, mobile phones or any other dangerous things to the school.
  • To acquire greater facility in the study of English, only English should be spoken in the school premises.
  • Each pupil must have a copy of the School Diary. This should be brought to school daily. It is subject to inspection on any day by the Principal or Teachers.
  • The school declines all responsibility if the students fails absence, he/she is obliged to return home during to produce a letter for reason of School hours.
  • Students are not allowed to enter classrooms other than their own.
  • Fines, which may be deemed necessary to be imposed on the students, are only to improve or enforce discipline.
  • Staying away from mandatory school functions including Annual Day and Sports Day without prior permission will be considered a major discipline default.
  • Students are responsible to school authorities for their conduct not only in the school but also for their general behavior outside. Any report or observed objectionable conduct outside the school on the part of the pupils will make them liable to disciplinary action.
  • Applications made to the Principal or the School Office is to be done on a decent sheet of paper.
  • After school hours, students are not permitted to go from school for group outings organized on their own or to their friends' houses for birthday or any other celebrations.
  • No celebration is allowed from the part of students and teachers without permission in the school premises.
  • School diary is to be preserved carefully and no page from it should be destroyed or smudged. If a pupil loses the school diary she/he will be subjected to disciplinary action. A fine of Rs. 100/- will be levied and a new diary will have to be purchased.
  • No phone will be entertained on matters of admission, exam, result and leave.
  • No mehendi, jel and nail polish are allowed.
